GCSSA/OSC Partnership and History
GCSSA, in 1986, formed the OSC, originally known as the Greater Cleveland Schools Council (GCSC), to assist school districts with group purchasing. As the GCSSA grew beyond its original 50 members it eventually changed its name to the Ohio Schools Council (OSC). Today the OSC represents over 270 school districts across northern Ohio and over 30 private schools, community schools, universities, municipalities and other nonprofit organizations.
