GCSSA/OSC Partnership and History

GCSSA, in 1986, formed the OSC, originally known as the Greater Cleveland Schools Council (GCSC), to assist school districts with group purchasing. As the GCSC grew beyond its original 50 members, it eventually changed its name to the Ohio Schools Council (OSC). Today the OSC represents over 350 members, including over 310 school districts across northern Ohio and nearly 40 private schools, community schools, universities, municipalities and other nonprofit organizations.
